Alice Hubbell, Placement Desk Coordinator
Alice Hubbell

Hi, my name is Alice Hubbell and I am the placement coordinator for children going into our certified foster homes. I am the person who calls you when a child is in need of foster care. I am sure that many of you have heard my voice on the phone as I call you in search for placements.

First of all I want to thank you for all your help allowing foster children into your homes and lives. Personally it helps me when you are willing and responsive as I call you. Second I would like to tell you a little about myself since I rarely get to leave my desk to visit any of you.

I have worked for the Child Welfare agency for almost four years. I was a case worker for a little over two years, and then I came to certification to take over the placement desk. I have many years of experience working with children in need and have worked in special education, preschool and elementary schools. I love to be a champion for the child in need.

In my personal life my husband and I have wanted to be parents for over seven years and have struggled to have a baby or adopt. Just three months ago we were chosen by a birth mother to parent her newborn son. It was a wonderful awe inspiring experience! We are now proud parents of our little three month old son. He is the light of our life. My husband and I are also so happy to be making a difference in a child's life and finally having a family of our own!

My goal as your placement coordinator is to build a relationship of trust with you. I want to always be there for you. I want to help you as you help me with the care of these children who are in so much need. Feel free to call upon me when you have questions or want to talk about foster care needs.

Thank you for all your care and support of the most vulnerable children in our county. You are appreciated!
